- On Friday, May 1st, the students were given a chance to learn more about the author of this book, Jean Craighead George. Using Cornell Notes (see example below), the students visited *this web page* to learn details and facts about her.

- On Monday, May 4th, we will revisit a web diagram (see example below) that the students completed in response to the following quote from Jean Craighead George:

- The Frightful's Mountain Web Diagram.
- We will also be reading the Forward to Frightful's Mountain. It was written by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and details how our author influenced his life.
- We will also dive into the first chapter - Frightful Takes Off.
- On Tuesday, May 5th, we will moving on to Chapter Two - Frightful Goes To Falcon School.
- After we listen to Chapter Two, we will begin discussing specific ways in which human beings affect nature.
